Y'know, we might have felt bad about/stolen less land from the Injuns if we hadn't known God wanted us to have it.

Elok, I know that you aren't an idiot - stop acting as one With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion. With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. Seriously burning a few sheets of paper you own that happen to own is illegal? I mean its not like she destroyed one of the few copies of a rare manuscript.

Also its unusual to see a teen girl do something nonconformist (rebelling against your parents is pretty conformist), I usually see a angry frustrated guy doing things like this.Modern man calls walking more quickly in the same direction down the same road “change.”
The world, in the last three hundred years, has not changed except in that sense.
The simple suggestion of a true change scandalizes and terrifies modern man. -Nicolás Gómez Dávila

Burning the Quran is probably safer than burning the Bible because it is made out more natural materials. Bibles, these days, are often made with plastics and other agents that emit noxious fumes when burnt. Is this an anti-burning mechanism or are manufacturers just cheap?“As a lifelong member of the Columbia Business School community, I adhere to the principles of truth, integrity, and respect. I will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do.”
 "Capitalism ho!"

I ruined a bible with a sharpie. We were redacting it, as I recall.Originally posted by Braindead View PostJust out of idle curiosity. What does the phrase " I have taken sharpies to bibles " mean?
