I've heard of it, but there are downsides to that. For one thing, doing so would obviously remove all my muscle. For another, long term complications can arise from very low calorie diets. Furthermore, there have been recent studies to suggest that it is in fact an amino acid found in certain types of meat that is responsible for the increase in life expectancy of those found to be on severe calorie restriction, not the absence of calories themselves. Of course there is also speculation that food in general is part of it as well due to oxidation. I'm actually looking for the article still. Let me know if you find it. I feel like right now my diet gets the best of both worlds. I'm almost always on a calorie restriction but I still am able to do what I want to do.
