What charities do you give to?

I gave to International Medical Corps a couple years ago. They were highly rated on a couple of the charity rating sites, but it seems to me they send me more magazines, brochures, postcards, and whatnot than they should. Every time I get something else I wish there was an opt out mentioned in their literature for me to tell them not to send any more of it.

Since then I haven't given to charity, other than Poly House II. Now I'm just trying to do something of my own. Not a charity, but hopefully can help some people.

I donate monthly to UNICEF. I also donate my clothes and other crap to Salvation Army, 'Cycle' shops and so on. I volunteered half a year for Amnesty International (was more of an internship actually).

But, as I don't have that much euros to burn, I'm more of an activist right now than a donor
