Barbara Billingsley recently passed away. Which uncredited mother****er who didn't appreciate her help in Airplane! went on to become one of the biggest movie stars in the world... and had the fish for dinner? (Looking for the actor, in case that isn't clear.)

Yes it was. I stumbled across the credit on IMDB and rewatched the scene to verify. Damn, did I make it that obvious?

EDIT: A little more searching shows it wasn't him, but damn, is the resemblance there. Still, that's what I was going for, so proceed, sir.

The "mother****er" was a bit of dead giveaway. God damn, I didn't realize that. I haven't seen the movie in a few years, but does he really look that different so as to be unrecognizable?

Okay, let's go back to music. What artist/band holds the dubious distinction of having the most songs hit #2 on the US Billboard charts, without ever getting to #1? It's late, so I'm going to sleep... y'all have to abide until I get my ass up in the morning, unless you're 100% sure...

Indeed. If I remember correctly, CCR had 9 songs hit #2. Bill the Cat is now up.

In college football, a ball handler is down when any part of the body besides the hands or feet touch the ground, even if they aren't touched, except when........?

There's a number of circumstances where a player is 'down' without having a part of his body touch the ground besides his feet... on fair catches, when they run out of bounds, etc.

Or do you mean the except in the other way... ie- the ball-handler has other parts of his body touch the ground but the play isn't dead?

One more history one. This should be easy for anyone who knows Roman history.

Name the Arab "Dux Orientis" who conquered the Persian capital on two occasions but his mysterious death led to his widow being a 'warrior queen' who led a short-lived but briefly successful revolt against Rome. A lot to work with there so shouldn't be hard.
