    I tried to find the old movie trivia thread, but then I decided that we'd just make this a general all-topic trivia thread, and we'd just start with a movie question.

        Yes he was. Good movie, too.

        I never even heard of Almost Famous.

                Hint: In a movie that has a soundtrack featuring rock artists as diverse as Led Zeppelin, Iggy Pop & The Stooges, and Elton John, the first song heard in the movie is not a rock and roll classic at all. It is, in fact, one of the most annoying and ubiquitous novelty songs ever recorded.

                            Almost Famous is hardly obscure. It was by no means a blockbuster hit, but it was very well received and won an Oscar.
