    Here we go:

In any event my feelings are very simple. Does said group support terrorism? It's a yes or no question. If yes then purge them via the cleansing power of nuclear fire because they're dog **** and deserve to die any way. It's a great world view. Bonus points if they're evil Muslims since the Koran orders Muslims to kill nonMuslims were ever they are found thus they are subhumans who need exterminating.

This was spurred by, of all things, a topic about words from other languages in English and my posting of how English has borrowed a lot of words from Arabic.

Are you saying we shouldn't purge those who support terrorism?

I wasn't aware nukes were capable of differentiating between individuals who support terrorism and every other single person in a country.

Oerdin's statement is clear... Arabs and Pakis (nice sign of something wrong there by using that term) are terrorist supporters, he claims... no conception of individuality there... THOSE PEOPLE ARE EVIL and SUPPORT TERRORISM!!! basically... so let's exterminate them... Note, bonus points if they're Muslims, so that's just an extra side benefit to him.

I'll say this, Apolyton is a breeding ground for what is perceived as racism. I brought a guy here (El) if anyone remembers him... he used to post his lengthy blog-style articles. He doesn't post here because he was shocked by the implicit racism through this site.

Basically, every Black poster, besides bunnygrrl, we had who was open about being Black has had an incident where they left in a rage about racism (like Carver). I think the Naval officer guy we had who was Black also left on similar circumstances.

Seriously, though. Only Dave Floyd and Oerdin are open about their racism but there's definite perceived racist under-currents.

(oh yeah Hera is racist too)

Well actually he said evil Muslims, thus he is differentiating between Muslims and evil Muslims. Perhaps if we used Daisy Cutters instead of nukes then we could avoid the label of genocide? Also, most muslims intellectually support terrorist causes even if they don't do so materially. There in lies the reason that the war on terrorism will never end and in the end, once the terrorists are successful in carrying out a nuclear attack or some other vastly destructive attack, you will see the full force of the West come down on Islam. It's just a matter of time before the terrorists pull it off.

No, DriXnaK... did you pay attention to the other quotes? To Oerdin, there is no differentiating between Muslims and evil Muslims. Islam is evil to him. All Muslims are evil. It was not a qualifying adjective. It was a descriptive one.

Well, tell me about the redeeming qualities of Islam that make it compatible with Western values. Next, tell me what percentage of the Muslim population falls within these redeeming qualities and espouses them above all others, actively speaking out against Muslims who don't. Then tell me about how Islam is making inroads towards modernization (note: There is no way for you to describe this because it's actually going the opposite direction if you look at the spread of shariah and the implementation of the hijab over the past 40 years). Finally, tell me why the West should continue to be tolerant and understanding, and really the world at large since Islamic problems are pervasive across the globe, while it's attacked and threatened and while muslims continue to try to use our own laws against us while telling us we're the problem and not them. You should just call a spade a spade. It's no coincidence that Islam is a global problem, and you can't just blame it on extremists. The fact is that the religion is fundamentally flawed and no amount of excuses and reasoning is going to change that.

Now, that being said, I think the best way to deal with Islam isn't daisy cutters. The best thing we can do is create a global council on ways to prevent Islam from spreading. I suggest a global blockade of Islamic countries with complete isolation. Islam is basically a virus with no cure. The only way we can deal with it effectively is to quarantine it and prevent it from advancing.

This is wrong on its face because most humans don't do anything intellectually.

Given Oerdin's definition of racism applying to those of hispanic heritage, his past colorful 'wetback' attributions likewise could never be tantamount to racism either?

Hispanics don't equal wetbacks. The fact that you align them all-inclusively hints that it's you that may be racist. Wetbacks suck. Hispanics, in a general statement, don't.

Sloww, Ogie didn't align them and I'm lost as to how you came up with that one. Ogie pointed out that Oerdin's wetback comments were racist in nature, which they were. There was no equating wetbacks with all Hispanics.

The fact is that Oerdin going crazy over this not even racist nor truly controversial ad is made even more bizarre by Oerdin's demonstrated history of racism.
