Since it's an entry level position, it probably wouldn't be enough to tempt you to relocate.

Nah, there's no way I'd relocate to Chicago for an entry level job. It probably makes enough money to live in a homeless shelter and eat at McDonald's given Chicago's taxes and cost of living. I expect nothing less from Obamacountry.

Unfortunately Obama has transformed the entire country.
And it wouldn't be that bad, you'd have enough for to live in a transient house, and eat at Wendy's.

If I thought you were serious I'd tell you to pm your resume and salary requirements to me.
I'll actually be interviewing a few pups today, but I'm not optimistic.

Well, I'm guessing this position doesn't have much upward mobility, and it's not security related which is what I really want to get into. On top of it it's in Chicago. When I think of Chicago, I think of gray skies, high taxes, and chain linked fences. I see a great wall surrounding the city filled with the unfortunate unable to escape and resorting to setting fires inside of oil drums and then huddling around them to keep warm. I see a man running through the streets with a patch on his left eye, a convicted bank robber and highly trained mercenary, carrying out missions for the US government. Helicopters fly overhead at all times, keeping tabs on the citizens. I'm amazed you have survived there this long Rah.

That being said, it would be cool to meet you and Ming and work for you. The simple solution to this is that you move to Florida. There's no state income tax, no snow, and we're Republican dominated.

Yes, it's not security related since I direct development and not operations. But there's always upward mobility in any job that reports to me. If you're ever in Chicago, Ming and I will be happy to meet you for a drink.
And yes, I expect to move to Florida eventually.

lol How long till you move to Florida? Too bad this job is in Chicago. Even if it were in another state, if it were in a decent state and not one of the most expensive cities in America I might seriously consider it.

Looking for a job that requires constant thought, a decent amount of manual labour (optional), and gives half decent training. Qualifications: Chemistry B.Sc (Dunelm), experience: 3 years as healthcare work with people with mental health problems, in a secure environment. Oh, and former consultant to Firaxis for 2 years.

No foreign language skills other than very crap french.
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

Krill... you sound perfect for the job. At first you might ask how could being a mason require constant thought... but you are forgetting about the fire ants and cobras that you will be co-habitating with on the job site. They will certainly keep you on your toes, if you wish to secure the future use of your toes that is. Manual labor is an option, though labour is not, so you may have to re-tool your outlook on a career, but that is a small hurdle indeed. Given that cement setting is a chemical reaction, your education should give you an additional advantage in working the concrete.

But most of all, having worked with people with mental health problems, you will be ideally suited for interaction with your new boss (me). Plus I have a great deal of respect for the value of a former consultant to Firaxis...

(Seriously though, hope you find something suitable to you. Someday I hope we'd have such positions to fill here, but that's a long ways down the road still.)
