    Laughable analyses:

Those deaths, although often cited as the most dramatic aspect of the situation, were not the only factor. A local independent magazine, City Beat, published research that an "analysis of 141,000 traffic citations written by Cincinnati Police in a 22-month period found black drivers twice as likely as whites to be cited for driving without a license, twice as likely to be cited for not wearing a seat belt and four times as likely to be cited for driving without proof of insurance." Really?

Gary was rated the 17th most dangerous city in the United States according to Morgan Quitno's 2007 analysis of crime rates (City Crime Rankings, 14th Edition), down from 10th highest in the 2006 edition.

In 2009, the CQ Press ranked Cincinnati the 19th most dangerous city in the United States

Most recent years named in the wiki articles that I saw.
      YOU ARE SO DISINGENUOUS!

I already cited the CQ Press rankings. I note how you didn't point out Gary's standing at 11th on their rankings.

      Try harder, KH.

I love how you also cite Morgan Quitno's data but fail to note how Gary is still ranked higher than Cincinnati.... and nevermind the fact that you just compared two different rankings from different years Interesting that you would do that instead of just looking for Cincinnati on the same rankings that you got Gary from. Interesting. Very interesting that you would do that.

Oh how about I'll do it for you...

Hey Albie: I provided the rankings in the wiki articles on each city, and explained specifically how I chose the years. This x-posted with your numbers, and together, the two sets demonstrate that Gary's position in the crime rankings seems to fluctuate between the low and high teens year on year (possibly due to its relatively small size, and thus large statistical noise).

This certainly doesn't smell to me like the two are "not even close to being comparable"; from the limited statistics available, it appears as though according to the specified methodology, Gary is somewhat, though not hugely, more dangerous than Cincy.

Thanks for playing, you ****ing empirical ignoramus.

What else is funny is that if you had said Cleveland, you actually would've had a good case as Cleveland is ranked higher than Gary on both the 2009 CQ Press data and the Quitno's data.

Wow, it's almost as though you think that the only thing differentiating cities is the CQ Press and Quitno "Most dangerous City" data.

                Idiot.

Are you stupid? I already explained: the wiki articles were literally ALL THAT I LOOKED AT. From them, I grabbed the most recent "most dangerous" listing. I have to admit that I didn't even notice that they were from two different sources. Are you off your meds, son?

Also, Cincinnati has never been the US's most dangerous city according to Quitno. Gary held that distinction in both 1998 and 1999.

Hey and we can get other years...

In reality, of course, I trawled the internet looking for sources which placed as little daylight between Gary and Cincy yet could plausibly appear to be an honest methodology. And all in 8 minutes while watching TV and sipping a martini!
