Actually, I see no problem with a United Caucasian College Fund, to which only whites can apply, provided it isn't government funded. If I want to start a scholarship program, than I should be able to restrict applicants based on any criteria I want.

After all, if it's good enough for "Negros", it's good enough for me.

Yeah, if it's privately funded, I could care less if the KKK had it's only scholarship fund (unless they called it "no ******s need apply scholarship"). BUT, as said in the article that they were changing the focus due to some alienation.... You would think that would be enough for them to actually change the name and not just the focus. They could still keep the same initials for continuity issues.

And for those that are clamoring about what if we had a whitely only scholarship, most scholarships already are, but they're smart enough to be slightly discreet about it.

rah, I don't buy that. Black kids can get Rhodes Scholarships, if they meet the admittedly hefty qualifications.

The point is, it's hardly the scholarship's fault if certain racial groups don't meet the requirements in disproportionate numbers.

NFL rookie Myron Rolle was a Rhodes Scholar. I couldn't find any statistics on this but I'm pretty sure there have been plenty of Black Rhodes scholars, the first person being Alaine Locke in 1907.

But there are a lot of scholarships like these:

I'm confused, AS. I do NOT think blacks are unqualified for Rhodes scholarships. Nor do I see any problem with people being qualified for scholarships due to birth.
