Okay so you spent over $40K a year to get your liberal arts degree... now what? I hope you got scholarships and aid because otherwise, that was so not worth it. What's your plan?

Well, the good thing about those schools is that they dole it sh*ttons of aid. All my family had to pay for was the plane tickets to and from school (certainly not a small expense but I worked during the summers). My plan for this year is teaching AP Government, and I'm thinking becoming an army officer will be the plan for the year after that. From a liberal perspective, the one you'd find at a place like Swarthmore, that's a poor decision, since it's not good for my 'career' (not a lot of money in the military and it won't help me get jobs in the future, as well as the risk of death). But that's not what's important to me.

Again, I don't like the term 'fascist.' It makes absolutely no sense to lump Hilter, Mussolini, Franco, Salazar, Vargas, Videla, etc. etc. etc. under one umbrella label. Heck, people even call Peron a fascist. I don't like labels, but if you want to call me one, I guess I wouldn't be repulsed by the term 'Franquista,' since I've always admired him. But it would be silly to call me a Franquista because I didn't live in Spain during that time period. Interestingly enough though one of the Spanish teachers at my high school studied under an old Franquista at college.
