Good point. You're right. They are. You'd still have to match the bus' speed, though.

I've no idea whether this can actually work in practice but it's good to see some bold and innovative thinking. wd the tunnel bus

Apparently it runs on a track and will be solar/electric.

Yes and in a straight line.

Chinese drivers are awesome BTW. Way better than US or other places I've been to.

And there are more cars in China than you can image. I think there were more vehicles sold in China last year than the US.

This bus (elevated train if you ask me) can carry about 1400 passengers.

Why? If they're turning in the same direction, they'll be following the same track the bus is. It won't matter if they don't match the speed, the bus will essentially be moving over them.

Actually there are the best at synchronized weaving so why not this too. I've seen a bus stop on a packed two lane and everyone just leaves out to the left without hardly slowing down. In the US all the cars behind the bus would stop, while all the left lane cars passed, then one by one the cars behind the bus would get their turn.

Boris, picture a car directly under the bus as it turns. Let's say the bus is going at speed X but the car is going at speed X+10, the car would slam into the side supports of the thing.

No it won't, because the bus will be following the two outer tracks, as will the car. Beyond that, only one lane (presumably) would be able to turn, while the bus is two lanes wide underneath. That will give the car plenty of maneuvering room. Basically a driver just needs to not hit the huge, obvious moving wall that's on one side of them (and that would require the car veering outside of its lane to boot), which isn't a whole lot to ask.

You're probably right. I don't know how to drive anyway.

                      Chinese drivers are the worst.

Isn't this just a crap monorail on the ground!?

This would be destined to fail in so many ways it's not funny! Cool idea though...

A monorail which runs on two rails, something different.

And yet, China has the fastest most sophisticated train system in the world. Try again.
