Huh. I'd heard of Russ Meyer, but had no idea Ebert was involved. I always just thought of him as the fatter, shorter half of the old critic duo that gave overly generous scores to everything they saw.

Dude, you must watch this movie. A passing familiarity with the Blaxploitation classics of the 70s (the obvious being Shaft and Superfly) helps, but is not in the least bit necessary. Galnemer has never seen them, but she laughed her ass off as well.

Yeah Ebert was that, too... but he also was a screen-writer for the king of sexploitation, Russ Meyer.

So yeah. Ebert was a real big fan of the tig ol' bitties.

EDIT: And now I'm on the review for "Predators." He mentions in detail a spiny alien monster, and the first question he asks is how it gets it on. Now I'm a little weirded out looking at that little Reddenbacher face at the top of the screen. I think it's time to close that tab...
