Huh. I'd heard of Russ Meyer, but had no idea Ebert was involved. I always just thought of him as the fatter, shorter half of the old critic duo that gave overly generous scores to everything they saw.

Yeah Ebert was that, too... but he also was a screen-writer for the king of sexploitation, Russ Meyer.

So yeah. Ebert was a real big fan of the tig ol' bitties.

Yeah, that puts some of the other reviews on his site into context, like the Twilight review (which I read largely because some computer bug has it listed twice on the sidebar):

And Edward has a noble speech in which he tells Bella he doesn’t want to have sex with her until after they’re married. This is self-denial indeed for a 109-year-old vampire, whose actions add a piquant flavor to the category “confirmed bachelor.”
            ...
Edward admits that if Jacob were not a werewolf, he would probably like him, and then Jacob admits that if Edward were not a vampire — well, no, no, he couldn’t. Come on, big guy. The two of you are making eye contact. Edward’s been a confirmed bachelor for 109 years. Get in the brokeback spirit.
            LOLFAGS!

EDIT: And now I'm on the review for "Predators." He mentions in detail a spiny alien monster, and the first question he asks is how it gets it on. Now I'm a little weirded out looking at that little Reddenbacher face at the top of the screen. I think it's time to close that tab...
