        • The US is higher priority on the agenda than other countries, personal gain aside.

          • Just get up off the ground, that's all I ask. Get up there with that lady that's up on top of this Capitol dome, that lady that stands for liberty. Take a look at this country through her eyes if you really want to see something. And you won't just see scenery; you'll see the whole parade of what Man's carved out for himself, after centuries of fighting. Fighting for something better than just jungle law, fighting so's he can stand on his own two feet, free and decent, like he was created, no matter what his race, color, or creed. That's what you'd see. There's no place out there for graft, or greed, or lies, or compromise with human liberties.

              • Gingrich would be good but Palin would be soooo much better.

Hmm...well, GWB was far worse than Gingrich, and McCain wasn't too much better once his spine gave out. I was in eighth grade during the 1996 elections; how was Bob Dole?

Kind of, actually. We all know KH is a jerk and he has in the past seemingly jumped at the opportunity to insult those who make mistakes with regards to economics. Surprised he didn't lunge at the opportunity here. Must not have seen the thread.

                        • Kid has such a longstanding history of retarded economic posts that I don't think even KH sees any benefit in pointing out the tarditude in them anymore.

Pitiful. Ran a half-assed campaign and let the Democrats define the narrative of him as a "mean old man." Generally just gave off a vibe of being nominated because it was his turn, not because he had any shot of winning. Then shortly after the election, he started showing personality and a sense of humor that left people wondering why the hell he didn't campaign like that. At least, that's how I remember it nearly 15 years later.

You would have a family connection to Bob Dole, wouldn't you?

I believe, could be wrong, that my mother worked for Ron Brown sometime in the 80's. I vaguely remember that when he died in 1996, my mother said something to that effect.
