An unstable work situation can't be remedied by suicide. It's a little hard to get a job if you're just going to be laying around.
Who's going to even interview, much less hire, someone like that?

I've been reading a book called, "Catholic and Christian" and that night that I had suicide thoughts, I had read a chapter on the after life in that book earlier that day.

I just began thinking how I would be at peace with myself and never having any problems like I have now. But then again, suicide is supposedly a sin . . . .

Anyone who calls a suicide hotline hoping they can be useful in any way is really just not smart. What you have is a bad case of needing to grow a pair (as evidenced by your constant whining here and to volunteer telephone operators). I've seen people in the Army with three limbs blown off with more balls than you have.

Part of the problem is people overlook sacking up as a possible solution. Instead they look to the police, suicide hotlines, and Apolyton, all of which simply tell them that they aren't the problem, and that the big bad world has been mean to them. Solving absolutely nothing in the process

You want to see people who need counselors, go to Walter Reed and talk to the people who are paralyzed. They will never be able to have sex or hold a job or feed themselves, and yet they do 1/10th of the *****ing on average than I have seen in this thread because this guy's job faxing Abe Lincoln's speeches to himself expired.

Wiglaf, you're right that MrFun is being too soft and overly sensitive and needs to get some perspective on his life and the good things about it. But you don't help that by calling him a moaning whiner who needs to grow some balls.

I disagree. Taking stock and knowing yourself is very important. One can't just amble through life thinking that decisions that are made are meaningless. Every decision, every fork in the road matters.

The biggest problem is that you bail out of making decisions and risk taking because of various, largely imaginary reasons. Being around people helps overcome that immensely and gives you the confidence to back yourself.
