Breaking Bad Thread

I find it has similarities to "Dexter" in that you are rooting for someone that does VERY bad things.

The interesting thing (in both series', I guess) is that the main character realizes he is doing bad things. However, in Breaking Bad (have only seen S1 of "Dexter", so don't know if it changes), Walt tends to realize the kind of person the business is turning him into and tries to back out of it, though, with tragic results realizes it isn't that easy.

I think I'm gonna start getting into this show, as I've heard nothing but good things.


I'd like to suggest "Justified" to y'all, as well. Just finished what might be one of the best opening seasons in history. Incredibly well-acted, well-written, hilarious, and breathtakingly exciting.

Its not made it to the UK yet. I had a bookmark after someone refer d me to the series and acquired it after seeing this thread. I am currently telling anyone who will listen that they should watch this series. I was supposed to be going on holiday but didnt want to go because i was just starting series 2

Breaking Bad is amazing. Possibly the best show I've ever seen, there were two "classics" in the third season alone (One Minute and Fly) -- and the show has always been really good at taking viewers in strange unexpected directions.

For point of reference my top, fav three or so shows are:

Breaking Bad
Six Feet Under
Homicide: Life on the Street

BB is up there with the best of them.
