Best show on television in years. Compelling, extremely well-acted, original, brilliant.

'Gus' (played by Giancarlo Esposito) is perhaps my favourite TV "villain" ever. He definitely one-ups Linus from Lost...he steals every scene. Terrific actor.

I'm only on episode 12 (of 13) for Season 3, but I've heard the next episode is one of the best yet.

If you've not been watching this show, watch Season 1-3 now. It just got picked up for a 4th season.

I agree completely, it's by far the best show on TV.

Let me know when you finish 313 and we'll chat.

When you finish (spoilers), an interview with Vince Gilligan following the finale.

Mr. Gilligan, the creator and producer of “Breaking Bad,” walks us through the show’s third season, shares a few secrets from Sunday night’s finale, and lets us know what he has planned for Season 4.

whats the difference between meth and mother's little helper? I dont mean injecting vs popping a pill, just the drug itself? I understand Bayer (or some german co) invented "speed" about a century ago and helped fuel the blitzkrieg.

According to wiki the Japanese came up with it first. However:

One of the earliest uses of methamphetamine was during World War II when it was used by Allied and Axis forces.[7] The German military dispensed it under the trade name Pervitin. It was widely distributed across rank and division, from elite forces to tank crews and aircraft personnel, with many millions of tablets being distributed throughout the war.[8] From 1942 until his death in 1945, Adolf Hitler may have been given intravenous injections of methamphetamine by his personal physician Theodor Morell. It is possible that it was used to treat Hitler's speculated Parkinson's disease, or that his Parkinson-like symptoms that developed from 1940 onwards resulted from using methamphetamine.[9]

Now you have to wait until next July for s04. Late start next year.

                Wow.
Explain to me why that show doesn't have more fans than it does?

Probably because it doesn't air on a major network. I found the show when riding an airplane (again!!). I had seen all the movies and the airline entertainment had the first three episodes of season 1 . I watched and was hooked (have seen every episode since)

I find it has similarities to "Dexter" in that you are rooting for someone that does VERY bad things.

It must be the fact that it airs on AMC. I don't even know what channel it airs on in Canada.

Such a shame. I predict it'll become one of those shows most people get on DVD after it stops airing.

Yeah, Walt's moral argument/excuse gets pretty thin pretty fast.

He's won two Emmys in a row for his role as Walter White on “Breaking Bad,” but for Bryan Cranston, being nominated never gets old.

“If you believe in past lives, in my last life I must have been grossly mistreated because something turned around and this has been amazing,” said the actor, who was nominated again this year.

It’s a double congratulations day, as Cranston and his wife are also celebrating their 21st wedding anniversary.

His character on the AMC drama has gone from “Mr. Chips to Scarface” over the last three seasons – from a mild-mannered high school chemistry teacher to what will be a “murderous, drug kingpin-type criminal” by the end of the fourth, Cranston said.

“This concept has never been tried before in the history of television,” the nominee said of the transformation. “It’s remarkable to be connected in a pioneering sense with the show… and to be absolutely honest with you we don’t know if it’s going to work. We don’t.”

Audiences seem to think it has so far – this season’s viewership was up 22 percent from last season in the 18 to 49 demographic. Whether Cranston will win his third straight Emmy for the role is another matter.

Cranston says he’s a big fan of the other leading actor nominees, especially Jon Hamm, who’s up for his role on “Mad Men.”

“I think his role is tougher than mine because of the constraints that character has, whereas my character is emotionally, physically all over the place – I get to explore a lot more range than he is able to.”

He also likes Michael C. Hall from “Dexter” but overall Cranston is, of course, just happy to be nominated.

“I don’t look at it in terms of competition,” he said. “We’re all lucky to be invited to the party. It’s a raffle drawing as far as I’m concerned.”

                          Well deserved.

                              Breaking Bad

Just recently finished the last season as well (DVR is my friend). Freaking awesome! The ending of the last two episodes were just amazing.
