Only because the words are out of context.

About 90wpm...it is very hard to type strings of words without anything connecting them, and at the beginning of a new line I need to scan back over everything to identify what I need to type.

Yeah I said it's tricky at first to go back to the top after a string is typed.

Still, apparently, a good typing speed is considered 50 wpm, so we're very strong typists

91 WPM, one wrong word. A bit slow for what I'm capable of, but serviceable.

The 29 wpm was right before 2:00 am. I feel confident that under different circumstances, I could break 30 easily.

60 wpm with a few beers in me.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. 60 wpm with 20 errors makes you worthless. At least I had no errors.
