Yes to your question. In Feb 09, an Assit. Principle at my School, assigned me to an area that has lots of noise. I have a hearing loss and were Hearing Aids. The US Gov paids for them. She and the Principle contacted HR to see if they could have me terminated. They lost.
June 10 is the Assit Principle last day in our District. She is 51 years old and held her job, for the last 9 years, and they did not offer her a job at the new High School that will open for its first class in Aug this year.
Now for you. Each morning when you wake up, just say Thank you. Do that for the next 60 or so years. That will put you into your 90s.
Joseph

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

Joseph, sometimes justice wins, good to hear your case
It's a lesson that hurts to learn: there really are people who would do things like that, fire people because of outrageous reasons and so forth, to advance their own agenda. I've learned it and also that justice does not always prevail. Key figures in positions who are supposed to protect YOU actually do nothing to stomp these idiots. They are afraid of them. As in what's going to happen to them? Nothing. And if something did, it's their job to protect, and if they are afraid of doing it, maybe they should be the ones fired.
I've learned that it is a question of what kind of a person you want to be. It is the hardest thing not to take full revenge, to make the idiots life as difficult as possible, to return the favor when the table turns. I still think and have to fight myself not to just call the idiot's boss' boss and the local paper to stir the soup. It is hard not to do it. But I believe that at the end it is worth it.
The right things are also the hardest things to do. And by doing the right things you lose many times. But that's life. There's no fair game. It is naive to think there is, because *******s do exist and yes, they would take advantage if your whole family died if they had the opportunity, your grief is not a factor. It is upsetting to know this and this is why it is difficult not to kick their teeth in when you have the opportunity to do so.
KH, It's weird, almost everyone I've told about it in here also know another person who had it. This was weird to me even before you mentioned this. Statistically though, 700 people get a brain tumor diagnosed every year in here. That includes non-cancerous types. Maybe you attract all brain damaged Finns??In da butt.
