True story. I live in a two bedroom/two bathroom apartment, alone. The reason?
So that I can use one of the bathrooms to take a ****, and the other to shower. Never mix the place you shower with the place you ****. Also, now I have a room in which to sleep, and another for all the unprotected drunk sex, followed by forced abortions in the morning.
Also, I've never had a friend who's been a murder victim or gone to jail for anything other than DWI/PI. Of course, I've also ruthlessly ostracized anyone involved in gang-related activities, anyone heavily involved in drugs (a little pot here, a little coke there -no biggie. Anything else, **** off), and, naturally, black people, who are mostly covered by the first two provisions of gangs and drugs, but sometimes blacks who aren't involved in those things have close friends who are. Can't be too careful. Works out well for me

Your graduate school maintains importance though. People who hire, even after years of post docs and where the candidates are equal, will pick Harvard/MIT almost every time.

The ****** butt****ers at the for-profit US News Magazine, which has not broken a story since the moon landing, rank only public high schools, and no one can recite the name of any one of the top 10 schools unless they go to one of them and consider it a point of pride (along with the number of bathrooms in their houses).
