Graduated class of 2008 with a BBA in Finance (magna *** laude) from Temple University. First signed up for the Marine Corps that summer. I've attended Officer Candidate School twice now (Fall 2008 and Winter 09/10) but I keep getting injured and sent home before completing the course (there's 30-50% attrition so getting dropped is not unusual)

Right now, I'm shooting for a 6-week course in July but Marine Corps Recruiting Command is giving me problems and Military Entrance Processing has to sign off that I'm cleared medically (apparently, a Navy doctor signing off isn't sufficient). A lot of crap. I might have to wait til October but, as I allowed my COBRA to expire (I was in OCS), I'm currently unemployed and uninsured. I was promised incapacitation pay but I have not received it now 2 months later. Don't want to sound like I'm bad mouthing the military just I'm frustrated right now. I'd hate to have to do another 10 week course because then I would have done 24 weeks (almost 6 months!) worth of OCS which is absurd. OCS is not fun at all.

And that also means that I would have to get a job but then that brings up the moral dilemma of do I tell a prospective employer that I'm only going to work for them for 3 months then leave?

I can't get over how I wasn't around for this (although I was matured by 2005)... Who remembers the teenage me going on rants about how everyone on apolyton were rich whiteys and it not being fair that I must live in poor conditions.

Oh and Kuci, my father has a graduate degree. He was the dean of a law school. Didn't mean that I lived much better than 1-bedroom apartments growing up.
