Leaving aside whether that label applies to the TPs, suppose I'd called the entire Intelligent Design movement "fanatical, dishonest and overbearing." Would you agree with that, even though it's applying terms in equally broad strokes to an entire movement?

No. I know several people with that belief who are perfectly honest, nice people. Deluded, sure, in my opinion anyway but the only reasonable label you can shove on an entire movement is one that defines the movement itself, therefore making it tautological.

I've been telling ya'll all along that the teabaggers are primarily populist and anti-incumbent, not conservative. They're pissed about the economy/deficits/bailouts and any candidate, Republican or Democrat, that doesn't at least pretend to care about their concerns is in trouble.
