I did think at the time, before posts were edited and deleted, that you gave Lori a rough time that he did not deserve even with comments about kittens. I viewed him as using Poly humour to try to moderate a hot situation, and it being taken overly personally.

I have no idea what went on between you and rah or Ming while they were mods and admins. I imagine that a lot of the bitterness in that thread comes from then and will never be visible to us.

Your comments were somewhere else I can't be arsed to look for (buried in the stickied moderator feedback thread I think), they were mostly along the lines of saying that I was stirring up drama for the sake of stirring up drama which I didn't think was the case, but they weren't particularly insulting or anything - I just thought they were unfair. But I was caught extremely off-guard by rah, because while I didn't by any stretch think that we were buddies or anything (he Ming and I met for beers once or twice but that was eight or nine years ago) I couldn't figure out and still can't figure out why he was such an ******* (I mean, as far as I know I'm mostly just guilty of posting stupid threads); and it wasn't just bravado or whatever, because the insults were taken to PMs as well. I still think Lori handled it poorly, but I no longer think that he was trying to be a douchebag or whatever, he probably just misread the situation. And the whole thing really drove home the point that this is not a civil forum.

FWIW, I thought that Darius was being serious in Felch's thread (I didn't bother clicking the screenshots he posted and hence had no idea that they were parodies). Even knowing now that he was not I'd still say that the thread should remain dead unless Felch wants it resurrected, since Felch may now be reconsidering the opening post; and now that Darius has broached the anonymous reporting topic in jest, I wouldn't put it past some ******* to carry it out in earnest.
