In completely unrelated, and yet self-centered news, I just had a woman I met last night text me that I was "cute, nerdy, smart, and that she was kind of overwhelmed". I promised her that I would underwhelm her in the near future
I suspect that "talking about smoking pot on the internet" isn't a crime in most jurisdictions.
Of course, but possession is a crime, and openly admitting intended possession adds up to the zero level of suspicion required to investigate, the reasonable suspicion required to stop for brief investigative questioning, and likely even the probable cause required to conduct a limited search. And that's not even getting into the fact that anyone on any kind of probation may have waived certain 4th, 5th, and 6th Amendment rights with respect to acts that constitute probation violation.
And the wondeful thing is, isn't an admission against interest the only form of hearsay that is valid evidence?
Nah, there are some-odd two-dozen forms of hearsay that are valid evidence not to mention the 807 catchall for peculiar indicia of reliability, but an 801(d) admission against interest is unique in the sense that it's considered "nonhearsay by rule" as opposed to a hearsay "exception." In any event his posts wouldn't be enough to convict of course; they would just corroborate whatever other evidence they find as a result of the tip.
EDIT: Why the DanS? (kuci tells me that is the name for editing after a quote/reference)
Everybody gets this wrong; a true DanS is when you edit a post within that short time frame during which your edit won't be reflected by a "Last edited by" tag, such that you can clarify a dumbass post into a smart one and get away with people thinking it was smart all along. To master the DanS is truly an art form quite above me, as my last post makes clear.
But to answer your question, photobucket's an image-shrinking crock of ****.

"Capitalism ho!"
Darius, just a quick legal question, what's the difference between a deputy and/or sheriff and a normal cop?
I honestly don't know of any significant legal difference, since in modern times both go through much of the same state-sanctioned training and swear an oath to uphold state law. Normal PD just happens to report to the city and Sheriff's deputies uniformly report to a county or parish. Responsibilities also differ somewhat, with the Sheriff's office being charged with various civil court functions like foreclosures, replevins, attachments, serving bench warrants, jailing for contempt, etc., but for purposes of the tip either can enforce any part of the Maryland Criminal Code.
Why would I joke around about someone committing a crime?
because it aint a crime
remember, its crime and drugs
actually, the crime is the cops wasting time and taxdollars chasing pot smokers while Habib and his buddies are looking to hijack planes. This improper (and immoral) allocation of funds makes Americans less safe, along with the countries we've blackmailed into fighting our drug war - like Mexico. Too bad we the people cant "earmark" our taxes to pay for what we consider most important.
