Yeah, it's not the resolution that's OMFG Amazing, it's the size and PQ.
Compare the contrast ratio of a good HDTV vs your typical monitor... especially one from 2004.

Actually, HD has rekindled my interest in Hockey. Actually being able to follow the puck makes all the difference. It's hard to watch anything in SD anymore. Especially sports. Probably the toughest thing is trying to watch soccer in SD after you've seen how amazing it looks in HD.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another.
