He made Young Frankenstein into a Broadway musical.

I didn't know about this until I overheard a song from it on WERS' broadway-musical hour. It wasn't that hot.

My pre-1969 film knowledge is admittedly extremely ****ty. All I've seen is All Quiet, Streetcar, Wonderful Life, Kane, Dorian Gray, a couple Chaplain films, a few others, and bits and pieces of whatever John Wayne movie my dad happened to be watching. Will be rectifying that with some suggestions of where to begin from monolith_94.
