The people bashing Russia in this thread remind me of those excusing the 7/7 bombers in London, with references to Iraq, or lack of support/rights for Islamic this or that, here or there.

Historically genocide works at keeping the peace for the stronger side most of the time.



Seriusly though I have to give credit to the Russians, they are really trying their best. The only thing they could do that would be more hardcore would be to pull a Stalin and declare the guys a criminal ethnicity moving them to some Siberian backyard and either keeping them there or letting them have their tiny state there well away from the pipelines.

OR they could just make sure no one is leaving the province and then just proceed to bomb the **** out of every major city at the slightest provocation.
