For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

Do you really think he would do those things, though? Both of those things have lots of powerful people deeply invested in them. They wouldn't just roll over. They'd fight (politically - I'm not suggesting a coup).
But the problem is Congress more than the Presidency.

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

But both things could be handled by executive orders (particularly the war on terror), and any legislative backlash he could still veto, veto, and veto some more, which most of his voters would understand to be his sole mandate since draining the swamp that is Congress would be impossible.

The only people less popular than Congressional Democrats in Washington these days are Congressional Republicans, who haven't raised the electorate's of opinion of their party since 2008 and currently have to defend a lot more open seats in November.
While it's looking likely the Democrats will lose seats in November, like the party in power usually does in midterms (8 months is a lifetime in politics, by the way), there's little reason to believe at this point that they'll lose their majorities in either chamber.Tutto nel mondo è burla

"As a result, parts of Afghanistan are falling into the hands of the Taliban, and a mix of terrorism, drugs and corruption threatens to overwhelm the country. As president, I would deploy at least two additional brigades to Afghanistan to re-enforce our counterterrorism operations and support NATO's efforts against the Taliban."Tutto nel mondo è burla
