Paul has run on the libertarian ticket before, he chooses not to anymore because ballot and debate restrictions make third party runs a waste of time and money. He has made this pretty clear. USA is currently built for two parties, and two parties only.

Strangely enough, he was not invited to the fourth Repub debate in 2008 after winning all three previous debate polls by a good margin.

Exactly. If you're serious about winning, it's best to look at the two primary parties.

Good news is that the CPAC straw poll means nothing... ask Mitt Romney.

I'd like to see the Republican party take up a libertarian nut-job like Ron Paul for sheer amusement when the presidential campaign comes around in 2012.
A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

Does anyone think Ron Paul could actually do anything?

I just realized the republican party has no sensible or sane candidates whatsoever. Obama can do what the hell he wants and still be elected. Declare war on the Sun. What they gonna do?

This is why I don't follow American politics. You just can't take it seriously.

Obama's approval rating couldn't beat Capt. Crunch in an election right now and he is about to massively lose his supermajority. He will not be doing any "what the hell he wants" at all. It' over.

                            I hope not Romney.

                            I'll take Hillary instead.

Right, that's what I said. There is no alternative, because Romney isn't going to win even the republican nomination and Hillary won't run against Obama.
