No, it's not a Walmart item designed to keep your inbred neighbors/cousins off your lawn- Palin is pissy again about the 'R' word. Her target is a cartoon character.

Palin lashes out at `Family Guy'
    AP

By BECKY BOHRER, Associated Press Writer Becky Bohrer, Associated Press Writer – Wed Feb 17, 6:27 am ET

JUNEAU, Alaska – Sarah Palin is lashing out at the portrayal of a character with Down syndrome on the Fox animated comedy "Family Guy."

In a Facebook posting headlined "Fox Hollywood — What a Disappointment," the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee and current Fox News contributor said Sunday night's episode felt like "another kick in the gut." Palin's youngest son, Trig, has Down syndrome.

The episode features the character Chris falling for a girl with Down syndrome. On a date, he asks what her parents do.

She replies: "My dad's an accountant, and my mom is the former governor of Alaska."

Palin resigned as Alaska governor last summer.

Palin's oldest daughter, Bristol, also was quoted on her mother's Facebook page, calling the show's writers "heartless jerks."

"When you're the son or daughter of a public figure, you have to develop thick skin. My siblings and I all have that, but insults directed at our youngest brother hurt too much for us to remain silent," she is quoted as saying.

"If the writers of a particularly pathetic cartoon show thought they were being clever in mocking my brother and my family yesterday, they failed," Bristol Palin added in the Monday posting. "All they proved is that they're heartless jerks."

Palin wrote that she'd asked her daughter what she thought of the show and Bristol's reply was "a much more restrained and gracious statement than I want to make about an issue that begs the question: When is enough enough?"

This isn't the first time Palin has spoken out over an attack, real or perceived, on her family. Last year, she condemned a joke David Letterman made about her daughter, for which he later apologized.

A "Family Guy" publicist didn't immediately return an e-mail seeking comment.
I wonder if she'll wuss out like she did with Limbaugh when she learns the creators are libertarians.

How is suggesting that kids with Down Syndrome may grow up and have fulfilling adult relationships in any way insulting?

If there is an insult, it's aimed at Mr and Mrs Palin, and not their kids.

i think the problem is that bit was insultingly boring. when they started the bit i was expecting them to go home to palin, and make a joke about her down-syndrom kid beeing smarter then she is.

in any case it was very tame for beeing family guy.

While the whole thing is silly, if the producers of family guy try to make a joke at Palin's expense, it's only fair that she can try to get some political currency in return.
The irony is that people ending up laughing at her more than the TV show. (which I've always found to be even more stupid sounding than her)

Limbaugh said "******" after Rahm and only referring to his statement. It would be stupid to not "wimp out" about criticizing him when he is only using it to make a point about Rahm using it.

          Fkn *****.

Limbaugh went a bit further than saying it as only a talking point.

No, he didn't. He used SATIRE, referring directly and ONLY to the incident involving Rahm. Get over it. Pointing fingers at Rush on this is seriously retarded.

Quit being a left-****; pointing at Rush for pointing at Rahm is exactly what Rahm was talking about in the first place. The left-***** who frequent media-matters, huffpo, etc need to be seriously reeled back in to reality; Rahm is right. They run around screaming "Sarah!", "Sarah!" while they suffer the greatest disappointment of a president ever. Fkn *****.

Sarah helps the republicans simply by giving the dems something else to do instead of fixing their disaster. And the (particularly internet) ***** just drool and drool. If you Hollywood Celebrity Lib-***** could take your eyes of the god damn TV for just one second, maybe your party would not be completely pointless.

No, he didn't. He called the left "retards", in all seriousness. Which is his right, by the way. I have no problem with him doing so. I have a problem with Palin's hypocrisy.

Video, with context, or it never happened. Left-***** will believe anything about Rush. Rahm was SO correct.

I hope left-***** realize that the two most criticized people, by them, are celebrities and not actually government officials - right? It's like you are all stuck on reality-TV mode and think Sarah and Rush are on Survivor or something. I swear, the dems could be distracted by a decent episode of Barney the Dinosaur.

Complaining about Sarah and Rush while your platform fails to ever leave the ground - at all.

                  Pathetic.

Basically what Guy said. He said they [the white house] was going to have a "****** summit" which isn't any better or worse than what Rahm said. And yes, Palin's a hypocrite and pretty much only doing this to score sympathy points from her worshipers.

Of course it is better than what Rahm said, because RUSH ONLY SAID IT REFERRING TO RAHM's COMMENT.

                        How tarded are you?

I wonder. Are you REALLY tarded enough to, after seeing the obvious, continue this BS attack against Sarah and Rush while your party accomplishes nothing.

It's called SATIRE. And he was VERY clear about it.

                            How stupid are people?!

They will believe anything bad about Sarah or Rush. Sarah and Rush together and they totally lose their minds.

All a democrat needs to do is point at Sarah, Rush or Cheney and they can do anything they want to you people. They are so busy trying to convince you that others are incompetent... while you get NOTHING.

Just coming out and saying "This is satire! I'm being satirical!" doesn't make it so. That's called "covering your ass," or more accurately in this case, "giving cover to Quitty McQuitpants' hypocritical ass."

And the Democrats sure as **** aren't my party; never have been, never will be.
