  • Bite my shiny metal ass: Leno to host White House Correspondants' Dinner

    The final nail in the coffin of Obama's street cred with the youngsters.

    So, to recap:

    The Republicans gain a 41-59 majority in the Senate;
    The Supreme Court sets campaign finance reform aflame;
    Liberal talk radio officially goes to way of the dodo;
    Conan goes off the air;
    Leno not only reclaims the Tonight Show, but with host the WHC Dinner;
    Michigan fritters away a game-long lead to Wisconsin, more or less ending any chance for a NCAA bid;
    And, the cherry on this **** sundae, Galnemer (thankfully unscathed) has her car totaled by some douchenozzle who lacks both car insurance and a driver's license.

    **** this week. **** it right in the ear.

        I was shocked to hear that too.

          Galnemer (thankfully unscathed)

          It could be worse. Glad to hear.

            Yeah. Found out when I got to work this morning, turned my ass right around and came back. Little shaken up, more emotionally than physically, but she's alright.

              My daughter had her first accident last week. She made it to 21 without one so it was hard to give her to much abuse. It wasn't major but it really shook her up. I tried to tell her to take it as a learning experience but she was too busy blaming the tree.

                I had my first accident while I was trying to sell my car shortly before coming to Sweden. I fixed my car (there went 1000$ I didn't really have).

                I was mostly shook up too.

                I am glad everyone was safe.

                  Glad to hear Galnemer is OK, Guy.

                  Don't sweat the small stuff -- and the rest of it is all small stuff. Annoying, yes, but of little import in the long run.

                    I'm a realist. She's fine physically, she will be fine emotionally within a day or so. The car, whatever, it's just a car, it's already ten years old.

                    I'm very relieved she's fine, but I'm very pissed that the country continues to circle the drain in every conceivable way: politically, culturally, intellectually. I think I need to meditate or do some ****ing yoga or something to recenter myself.

                      Leno never should have been moved. Heads should roll at NBC over this debacle and if it makes you feel any better Fox is openly wooing Conan and hoping that he can get out of his NBC contract.

                            Was it :

                            Coming home I drove into the wrong house and collided with a tree I don't have.

                            or

                            I collided with a stationary tree coming the other direction.
