Scotch is ok, but for the amount of money I have to pay to get a drink that to me is only ok, I'd rather drink rum or tequilla.

Nah, money isn't a problem - I have something like 1K$ in excess every month. Guess that you low tax guys have it the same way.

It's not the money, it's the cost effectiveness. Why pay $200 for a bottle of scotch that I find "ok" when I can pay $35 for a bottle of rum or $90 for tequila that I'll enjoy even more?

Yeah, you are right. Actually I don't spend much money on getting drunk, but I do spend a reasonably chunk on things I like such as scotch (have some 12 litres hq that I only sip).

Fair enough, I just don't like scotch enough to pay for the good stuff. I've tasted some that I kind of liked, but the price point just isn't worth it for me.

'tis a damn sight better than being called a Panda shagger for posting at certain other sites.

Honestly, I think that this panda BS is quite boring and something that I could find funny when I was 13.

It's a lot funnier if you were around for the PandaGate incident last May.

But I was, and yea, it was funny for couple of days, but it's like learning the word **** back in kindergarten - funny for a couple of days and then boring.
