    I do the same.

    Start with hot oil in the pot, add diced jalapenos, saute for a couple minutes then add the garlic until brown, then add onions and chipotles with adobo (1 or 2 with about 1 tbs of the adobo) cover and let cook until onions are tinder. Add diced tomatoes and juice, beef broth, cumin, and meat (browned with chili and onion powder). Let simmer until reduced by about 1/4. Add beans, bring to a boil, and serve.

    I think that's it.
