She threatened to do that to me claiming I was spamming her PM box. I sent exactly two PM's one asking about the infractions she gave me and then another to ask her why I could see her lurking on the site but not bothering to respond to my PM. I'm sure it is frustrating to be a mod and have to deal with people but letting people ask questions after you've given them an infraction reasonably comes with the job. Either she needs to do the whole job or quit but this half ass bull**** is terrible.

I didn't really ask her a question, to be fair. It was pretty rhetorical, and then I noted that it was ridiculous. I still don't agree with anything she's done, but I need to be honest.

I went over to CFC and I must say I found the moderator friendly and helpful. My first impression, from seeing the reaction to Berz's post was that the moderating seemed a bit Nazi. I mentioned in a couple of posts that I needed to find the forum rules as they seemed extreme and ridiculous and it seemed the moderator was over reacting. I then received this helpful message from a moderator:

The link is available at the bottom right side of the page. As well, there's a sticky at the top of OT's forum, with specialised instruction. Finally, it's much easier if you're just a nice person. We've had scores of people make thousands of posts each, without knowing the actual rules, because 'being decent' works just fine.

In any event there is some truth to what you quoted but it's the selective enforcement of those rules which really gets me.

The link was to their their rules. I clicked on it and had the same message. I don't think the rules are unreasonable, a bit harsh for my taste and some seem rather pedantic.

Deleting Slowy's chick pic seemed over the top.

Posting lies, inaccurate stuff, etc. is the core of the game

I would never include a rule against posting false or inaccurate information. It's a bit hard to maintain that.

I'm sure there are a lot of posts at CFC that violate North Korean law.
(That's Apolyton only tells you to not violate American or Dutch law)

Anyway, before anybody starts to: it IS against Apolyton's rules to plot against other forums/sites/etc.
