I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891
Plus thin pizzas are a nuisance to make and much easier to mess up in the oven; without a proper edge, the toppings are prone to oozing off, plus the edges burn easily and the whole thing is prone to tearing when you move it.
That's why I said Pizza Express. It's about the only chain that doesn't serve ****. Most are awful by any standards.
It's weird to find people so inept at cooking that they can't avoid burning an edge, having toppings ooze off, and tear it.
I'd recommend starting with toast.
When you can do that without burning the edges and get the hang of moving it, move on to cheese on toast.
When you master that, you should be able to manage pizza.

Try doing that with five other pizzas in the oven, which is burning at over 500F, while occasionally also having to tend to other duties due to staffing cuts. Also there's no time to clean the oven during dinner/lunch rushes, the pizza has to be basically hurled in with a shuffleboard-type motion, and it's exceedingly difficult to see pizzas in the glare from the fire in the back. Among other things. You are an ass.
