    As corny as it is perceived to be today, it was one of the edgiest shows on the air in its time.

    First inter-racial kiss on TV, even. They frequently slipped by the censors also.

    It's a charming little show. The only knock I've against it is the pacing is a bit slow compared to today's shows, but it's a product of it's time.

              As a side note, Amazon had a massive black friday sale on Blurays. I now have every Star Trek movie on Bluray, from The Motion Picture up to the new Star Trek.

              I also have every single Star Trek episode ever aired in DivX format. I've only seen every episode of DS9 and ToS and TNG over the years, and a handful of Voyager and Enterprise episodes. Over the next decade I'll see them all.

                      I may buy some of the on bluray but I think I won't waste my money on 5-7-9

                        They come in the box sets, which is by far the cheapest way to get them.

                        I got 1-6 for $60 total on bluray, 7-10 for $40. "Star Trek" is $20.

                        "Khan" was digitally remastered and looks amazing in Bluray. All of the other movies were digitally cleaned up only (remove film specks) and scanned in HD, but Khan had its color fixed, film cleaned up, sound extended to 7.1, etc.

                          1-6 for 60 sounds quite the deal. I wouldn't pay 20 for 7-10.
