They opened one of these places near my house and I'm wondering if I should bother trying it or if it is just a waste of money. Honestly, it looks like a horribly naff chain restaurant trying to sell Subway style crap but for twice the price. Is it at least decent like Quizno's or is it foul like Subway? Inquiring minds want to know.

Subway is crap and you know it. Old produce, old meat, hell, the only thing actually fresh there is the bread but it's full of "bread enhancers" to keep costs down. Maybe four times a week for dinner and about every lunch. Basically unless my girlfriend is cooking then I eat out.

Jersey Mike's is pretty mediocre. Better than Subway, but not by much. Like most of the sandwich chains, the bread isn't very good. I've had it frequently for the past few years only because it was the cheapest lunch on campus.
