Inquiring minds want to know.
    More like Quizno's.

$10 for a sub? Jesus. That's almost as expensive as Switzerland!

They have Mini, Regular and Giant sizes. Oerdin either doesn't know or doesn't provide the required information.

Aren't there any passable Italian delis or specialty meat shops in San Diego? Also, $10 is highway robbery even for an outstanding sandwich.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Naw, I bet I'm skinnier then you're chubby butt plus I run and bike regularly so I'm fairly good at cardio even though I smoke. You can eat healthy even while eating out but I admit portions is where the real fight is and I normally try not to eat everything on the plate.

Read up. Giant isn't 48", but still...

Jersey Mike's is more sub-par than Subway. Disclaimer: I actually like Subway's tuna salad sandwiches (drag thru garden).

Yeah, there are some good Italian places downtown in Little Italy and there are a few Jewish places in the parts of town with large Jewish populations but I live in the chain restaurant hell of the suburbs.

There are a few decent family owned places but they tend to all be either various Asian cuisines (which I love but don't want to eat every day) or things like pizza. Most of the really good stuff is south of me closer to downtown and when I get home from work I don't want to drive any where so I end up staying local most of the time.

Other that what it's more similar to, what people prefer really has nothing do do with it.
We could spend years debating that subject. In fact we have, with NY style vs, Chicago style pizza.

You didn't even answer his question, Theben; or are you comparing it more to Subway?

Which insinuates a comparison to Subway. I think they're more like Quizno's. Are you, in fact, disagreeing? That's fine, but you're still ambiguous.

Panera > Jimmy Johns > Penn Station > Jersey Mikes > Quiznos > Subway

If you have Port a Subs I would say Jersey Mikes is on par with them

Who the **** goes to Jersy mikes for a sub? The only thing you get at Jersey mikes is a Philly cheesesteak. Nothing like a real philly cheesesteak but at least edible and far better than the dreck served at Subway or others trying to pass themselves off as providing a philly cheesesteak.

Quizno's foot longs for $4 are a pretty good deal and a bit more tasty then Subway but still rather naff fast food. There has been a Penara near my house for years but honestly I've never gone there. I'll have to try it as Japher says it's fairly good for a chain and I tend to like the same stuff Japher does.
