Talk about reading comprehension. The criticism I just leveled was at YOUR COMMENTARY.

So, how useful is IQ? Is it time for g to go?

In case you've forgotten, despite the fact that I just paraphrased it 2 minutes ago.

So rather than criticize previous incarnations of Civ, we fans should have simply dithered around in C pretending to make the next Civ game ourselves?

Give it up, Lori. You're just making yourself look sillier.

You're using your noggin Mr. Horse. That puts you above me at the very least.

Honestly it never occurred to me that you wouldn't eat it the very second you had access to the drug. I'm like a junkie for acid. I guess for the test to work, it would have to be forced ingestion of LSD. Good question.

I wouldn't want my first trip to happen while I was lost in the woods. I'd probably freak out.

Holy buttsex, Batman. You are way, way too sensitive to the issue of g's value. My commentary at the end was a throwaway line, a joke, making light of the fact that this argument has riled people up on Apolyton in the past. I even mentioned that at the top of the OP.

The actual discussion I wanted to have was about how we can test for other aspects of IQ which, as I've already mentioned, is the real point of the article.

But damn, now I know how to troll you in the future if I need to.

Lori: Hey this here Newtonian physics doesn't explain Mercury's wonky motion!
                  19th century physicists: Okay?
Lori: So fix physics you lazy jerks, how friggin difficult can it be???

19th century physicists: ZOMG NEWTONIAN PHYSICS IS THE BEST AT PREDICTING MOTION WTF IS YOUR PROBLEM WITH IT????
Lori: Uh, it works just fine, guys, but we should still try to deal with the Mercury issue. Want to talk about it?

A survey of members of Mensa (the High IQ Society) in Canada in the mid-1980s found that 44 per cent of them believed in astrology, 51 per cent believed in biorhythms and 56 per cent believed in aliens (Skeptical Inquirer, vol 13, p 216).
I suspect this is more a Canada based artifact, rather than a Mensa based one.
