    Nature of the beast -- boomers have enough numbers, money and influence to lookafter their own needs -- Gen x and Yers need to get more involved if they want their interests protected

    To the OP -- its sad when people do not plan at all well for their retirement or any economic downturns -- But anecdotal evidence of this type would be available for every generation in the past and will be available for every generation to come--

    AS for the intergenerational spitballing going on in this thread-- have at it gang

            The worst Presidents as far as the national debt goes were either baby boomers or Texans (and sometimes both).

                      hmmm-- although definitions of the "generations" vary, everything I have seen places me squarely in gen X.

                                Ming and I were referred to as Magpies on numerous occasions for all the obvious reasons.
