                              Once only though. But it was on her 'Songs From the Weimar Republic' tour, so I saw cracking versions of 'The Wife Of The Soldier' and 'Pirate Jenny' .

                              Saw Gil Scott Heron at the Jazz Cafe too, years ago. Spoilt by idiots in the audience who thought their conversations were more interesting than the music and words of GSH.

                              I did see him in 1984 in Manchester during the long Miners' Strike over here. Naturally, he played a well appreciated version of 'Three Miles Down' with some acerbic commentary on the industrial dispute in question too.
