Just to give you an idea.

    Jeffrey Wright's Hoochie Coochie Man

    Mos Def's Maybellene

I kind of like Mos Def's versions better than Chuck Berry's. But Mos Def has always been one of my favorite rappers so I'm biased.

Kind of surprised. Would've thought you would've been on top of something like that.

Must warn you though. They don't have any original music in the movie. All the songs are re-done by a group of blues artists and the actual actors (Beyonce as Etta James, Mos Def as Chuck Berry, etc.). It still sounds pretty good although Beyonce has a very modern voice that is kind of awkward for the time but it's cool.

    Cool fact:
The soundtrack spent 48 weeks at number one of the Top Blues Albums.

Umm.. okay. And what I said TWO FREAKING YEARS AGO still stands. Nobody listens to Jedi Mind Tricks. They're virtually unknown in Philadelphia even two years later.

And I'm a little surprised by how long I was posting with ramseya.
