Limiting these kinds of actions are normal in your country. You have laws against false advertising and slander/libel, which Fox News is exhibiting with alarming frequency.

FWIW, as KH points out, for how much you guys brag about your free speech it's still alarmingly censored compared to other countries on the television/radio.

Dude, WTF is wrong with you today? It doesn't apply to political speech. There's nothing political about blatantly false advertising -- eg, Fox News advertising that their competitors don't cover events when they clearly did. That's not political speech, it's plain and simple false advertising.

It's no different than Ford advertising that Toyota vehicles are manufactured by communist Mexicans with a block of C4 in the trunk on a timer. False advertising is false advertising, which is illegal in your country despite your profession of your country having free speech.

As a side note, the FCC does regulate the airwaves for many trivial things (eg, decency). Quit acting like it's absurd for them to regulate licensed broadcasters for misrepresenting themselves and others.

False Advertising was mostly referring to their ADVERTISEMENT in the OP OF THIS THREAD and I have DIRECTLY REFERRED TO THIS SEVERAL TIMES and you are IGNORING THAT.

Please resume posting in this thread once you've located your brain.

(Sidenote: Their "fair and balanced" claim is not necessarily a political statement either -- when you have Fox News producers altering a situation they're supposed to be simply documenting, they are demonstrably not being fair and balanced regardless of what their political stance is)
