Otherwise I'm torn. Cloning research might result in a freak accident that unleashes zombie apocalypse, but if it doesn't then we've sunk a ton of money into something that won't do anything except make life better.
You cant think of any downsides to replicating humans at a genetic level?
We need seperate human-only games for MP/PBEM that dont include the over-simplifications required to have a good AI

I support cloning research because you can't make an omelet without breaking some eggs.

Well there is that whole premature aging and genetic degredation thing Dolly's clones had to deal with. Not to mention the massive amount of failiures that might give some pause.

I don't understand - are you saying that you oppose cloning research because Dolly's clone didn't live a full sheep life?

If at first you don't succeed, it's clearly to dangerous to continue.

I oppose cloning research because each person is unique and inimitable...

If the aim is reproductive cloning, I would tend to rate those problems as being slightly higher than negligible.

Something to ponder: If you clone a person, do you clone their soul at the same time?

I support cloning research. I support any research that causes no harm to the subject or is performed on consenting people.
