  • This is a debate based on a cost-benefit assessment on the merits of government oversight or control of health-care policy and health care services. Nothing more and nothing less.
That is quite amusing. It's all about politics, like it always is. How else do you explain having the majority in both houses and the white house and still nothing has been passed?
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

    • [Q=Zevico;5669791]Hate to break it you partner, but those damn dirty liberals got a majority in Congress, the Senate and yes, they even won the Presidential elections. Against the will of the majority? Hardly. The will of the majority was to elect the Democrats. There's no place in a voting ballot where it is written "tick here if you want to vote Democrat but oppose their health care policy."[/Q] Just being the majority in Congress does not make everything they do "the will of the majority." 85% of Americans are satisfied with their insurance coverage and do not want the entire system overhauled on a whim. Even if they wanted changes they don't want what this bunch of hacks are offering.

Secondly, this debate is not about some hackneyed story of evil corporations standing against 'the people.' Class warfare is history, and the Democrats abandoned it long ago.
That's funny, every time the Dems want something they tell their working class thralls they will tax the rich to fund it. That's called class warfare, partner.

      • Palin continues terror crusade

The WSJ publishes more crazy from Sarah, while Dowd, Carville, Gergen, others weigh in on the healthcare stakes
She's been discussed as a running mate for John McCain, but Sarah Palin might be in trouble over a controversy that centers around her former brother-in-law.
