Racism, private clubs, and Pennsylvania

Go site a list of cases and I think you'll find that more have been unsuccessful by quite a large margin. But of course my references on this are from quite a while back, but I doubt it's changed much.

If private clubs can legally segregate, why don't the owners have the balls to be more explicit about it?

Post signs outside of their preciously exclusive clubs that say, "Blacks need not apply here" or "Women need not apply here." It's all legal, right?

You know that I'm not really and truly anti-anybody. Not as a person walking the face of the earth.
Still, you can't force a group of people into a mindset, and why would you want to?
Why would you insist on going where you aren't wanted, for whatever reason?
Just say "**** you", and be done with it.

You're right, they do not have to welcome everyone. Since it's perfectly legal for them to do this, I don't see why they don't just flip the finger at political correctness and put up signs per my example in my earlier post.

I'm not saying I agree. I don't like some things. I don't like PDA, for instance, but that's universal. That's me. I can choose to go or not go to places based on that alone.
It's a choice. It doesn't mean I'm correct. It means that I'm me, and that's all.


EDIT: To add. You, nor I, should be able to force our beliefs on an existing majority. We might ask for an audience, stating our case, but after that, enough is enough.

Yeah there is. They can be sued for racial discrimination. Private clubs have been successfully sued for such many, many times.

That's nonresponsive and nonsensical. Is it somehow inherently dishonest to simply turn down such candidates when they seek membership? There's a difference between "having balls" and being deliberately provocative. And again, I repeat the question: what would they gain?
