        If it's freeware, I think it's okay to post a link. My understanding is that we're not supposed to support illegal downloading. Providing a link to an old freeware game isn't illegal.

                    Forge of Freedom looks like the most appealing Civil War game for me. In the economic management aspect of the game, I wonder if a player can change how to end slavery? Or if you play as Union, you gain more recruits from newly freed slaves upon entering an area where there are plantations?

                          Back in the days before PC's and I played Board Games 'Battle Between the States' by GDW was fantastic and it's a shame that nobody has ever produced a TBSG version of it as a PC Game.

                            Slavery was an economic system - how can producers who include economics in an American Civil War strategy game, exclude slavery?

                            Not to mention that slavery and decision to make one of war's aim to end it, affected diplomacy - which is another feature in Forge of Freedom.
