The only people who will be given better understanding of the universe based on what the LHC finds are particle physicists. There are perhaps 5-10k people in the world for whom this has any meaning at all. The rest of you get the distilled, content-free version. We might as well tell you that there are tiny dragons and elves which make things run properly.
