At the time that his best music was coming out, I hated it because I was exposed to it for hours every day.

I'm strangely saddened by this. Such an incredible talent, such a bizarre person. His life path is so interesting, from the cute kid in the jackson 5 to whatever he became, quite a story. I'm guessing accidental OD.
Billie Jean and Man in the Mirror are my favorites of his adult music, and remind me of growing up in the 80's.
