I have paid some attention to Palin and her recent escapades, she is an interesting politician. And when people started to hit her at home during the campaign they sank to celebrity lows. She has a family, and all American families have their problems or situations, she is no different. Her daughter got pregnant before marriage....oh what a shocker, it happens every day. My wife was pregnant before we got married. So why did everyone have to attack Palin for that? For being a mother of a daughter who was pregnant and not married, and HAD the baby? The people attacking her should be supporting her, she has an autistic son...well that is an abortion case to some, her daughter had a child before marriage and under 21, another possible abortion case to some. But no support? Instead she gets slandered every where she goes.

Letterman is known for his crude comments, but this time it was over the line. This is an American family, we all have the right to live without scrutiny and public humiliation. celebrities do it to themselves, politicians work "for" the people and dont need their families put on the spot like that. Now Bristol's child has to grow up with this spot light of rumors and slander. Have heart people, you wouldn't want some comedian doing this to you.

I am not a huge Letterman fan either but this is much to do over nothing.

People talk about each other and makes jokes about each other, not denying that. But when you bring family into it, children, children of children, that is when you are pushing the line. I don't let jokes bother me, but when someone starts saying things about my son...its a fact there will be ramifications. It happened with an ex-girlfriend after she dedicated a web page to exposing a family secret and slamming my at the time 7 month old little brother. I wasn't violent, I got a restraining order.

But the point, is he didn't just hit Palin, he went after he family. Kids can't handle humiliation like adults. Sure Sarah Palin has taken a lot of hits and can take it...but her kids? Come on.

DD, I really don't see what the age of the comedian has to do with anything as the joke was about two adults (one 18 and the other in his 20's). Bristol had been knocked up in a very public way during last year's campaign so she's fair game for knocked up jokes. Personally, I think the joke wasn't all that funny but simply telling a bad joke doesn't merit the fake outrage and lies that the bimbo has been feigning. She's just a drama queen desperate for media attention.
