I'll bet Rosie and Donald are pissed that someone stole their bit.

      Gov. Palin accepts Letterman's apology

07:30 AM CDT on Tuesday, June 16, 2009

Letterman made several references to the issue during his monologue, introducing himself as "Dave Letterman, good will ambassador." He said he got a call from his mother earlier in the day telling him she was siding with Palin.

When he began a joke about Bernard Madoff, whom he called "the most hated man in America," he then amended that to a list of two. "Me, Bernie Madoff," he said. "He was waaay out in front until a couple of days ago."

Idea: give Palin a strip show, let Letterman be the next VP candidate for (R).

A lot of the repug base rallied to her support which is why I said positive for her. You'd never vote for her anyway, (assuming you could vote in the election) so what you think isn't really important to her.

Even being a repug I still couldn't agree more with your second statment. (is 80 years enough?)
She's an embaressment to the party as far as I'm concerned.

Also smart of her to not go on Letterman, standing her ground.

By 2012, Palin will still be unelectable and uglier
                McCain will be dead.

I totally lost all respect for Letterman. How could he cave after she basically called him a paedophile?

I'm sure it was the network that made him cave. CBS is the old fuddy network.

Man, I can't believe how much airplay she squeezed out of this.

It's weird how this has played out. First, McCain formally announced his candidacy on Letterman. Then screwed the pooch 2-3 weeks before the election when he blew off a Letterman appearance (the faux, ill-fated "off to DC to save the economy" gambit). Now this. Weird that Dave, a liberal, has been a lightning rod for so many GOP happenings.
